Here we go - DARE 2 !

Well, we had a wonderful 1st week, we really enjoyed your beautiful cards, well done everyone !Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement- we really do appreciate it. This week’s dare was set by Jane and is entitled 'USE THE KITCHEN’.

Basically, you can have ANY theme- but the card must have either an item from your kitchen featured on it or would have used something in the kitchen to make it (oven, iron etc)! Bit tricky eh ? Well it wouldn't be a challenge if it was easy now, would it! The design team has come up trumps with some truly wonderful cards once again. We hope they will inspire and encourage you to join in on dare No. 2 The team have all put details of what they have used, techniques and so on, on their individual blogs, so don't forget to check their blogs to find out all the trade secrets ! lol !

Good luck ! Here's our efforts, after a lot of mess making and trial and error apparently!

Welcome!!

Welcome to our new blog- our very own cardmakers dare blog !How exciting !!

Well, if all the coolest Scrapbookers can do it - why can't us card makers join the band wagon?! I'd like to introduce our team of blogging cardmakers and friends who have come together to form an exciting new blog designed to get your inspiration flowing and enthusiasm rushing ! Each week, on a Friday (10pm NZ time /10am UK time) - one of our team will post a dare or challenge along with their designs to give you some inspiration.

Then, over the following week, everyone else can join in by leaving a comment on this blog linking us to their own blog/picture trail so we can all have at look at your creations too !

At the end of the week, one of us will post a new dare. We'd love you to join us with our dares- and if you start to be a regular contributor we may be introducing a 'guest designer' for a month ! So come on, give it a go ! We plan to have loads of different dares, from cards with a theme, words, templates etc to ones with a recipe of things you have to use and mabe cards with multiple folds. Kathy had the idea that you could even shrink the scrapbook idea and have 6x6 or 4x4 scrapbook pages included. We have choosen a very special team of people each with their own unique style, so that hopefully we will all inspire each other to take the card making experience to a new exciting level !

So come on, join in WE DARE YOU ! Our first challenge will be launched on Friday 20th October (10pm NZ time/10am UK time).

OKAY ! AND WE ARE OFF ! OUR FIRST DARE!

Hurray !! Whhhoooo ! Our much awaited launch time is here ! It's been a very exciting time for us all pre launch. We have had a lot of encouragement and some talk about sponsorship of our blog in the future, which is fantastic news.

We, the design team, are very excited. Our first card dare/challenge was an idea agreed on by the whole team and is entitled 'FRIENDS' .

I'd like to say a huge thank you to our very talented design team who have been working on some truly gorgeous cards, which I hope will inspire you all.

We'd love EVERYONE to join in on the challenges if you want to. So come on, we dare you ! Design your own card and leave a link under the comments section to lead us to your blog/photo site so we can see your creations too. We look forward to seeing your own gorgeous designs.

Friendship card by Saffa

Bondgirls Offering

Friends - Patterned paper is Junkitz Salsa Circles, accented with a fushia pink semi circle with hand drawn stitching. "F" is a from MM poolside monograms and covered with the same paper. Other letters are Sizzlets bounce alphabet. Side of card finished with fushia grosgrain and 2 black mini brads. Crystals were attached with a KandiKane (stand still in my house and you risk getting blinged up!). Edges were inked with fushia and black ink.

Lythan's cards

Square card. Punched and inked teeny squares of BG Lily Kate stuck onto a heart shaped pattern and cut out, with a phrase from KI memories and some bits of bling added. And here are two more I have made...Square card with corners rounded. QK primitive heart die cut from Bazzill on BG Gypsy paper from 6x6 pad. Quote from Carole King song printed on Safmat and adhered to more Gypsy paper. Middle square raised up

Square card (hmm there's a theme emerging here) Patterned paper cut into 'rays' all Scenic Route paper from Self Addressed kit. So are the little brown letters and the Bazzill. Phrase again printed on Safmat

Deb's Friendship Card

For my card I used the quote "Friends are the flowers in the garden of life" I like this saying and I used a charm which has the words My Garden on it. Papers are by Chatterbox and Making Memories ribbons and brads. I also used Prima flowers with small brads in the centres. I love Primas :-) Photo corners are made using a Quickutz die. All edges are inked with a cheapo gold ink pad.
