Art Attack

I dare you to make a card inspired by a work of art. If the original art is out of copyright (this happens when the creator has been dead for 70 years or more) then you may use elements of the original artwork in your piece. Otherwise its inspiration only. Look out for colours, patterns, textures, compositions, shapes or themes that inspire you, and remember to show us the piece of art that inspired you to create so we can see the common ground.

What is art anyway? It's completely subjective, so your chosen inspiration could be architecture, one off design or mass produced products. Please remember to respect the right of the artist not to have their work copied without permission, take inspiration instead and make your own art!

We love seeing what you've created and as always, you can share your Art with everyone in the two ways. Either leave a message with your blog link so we can come and see, or email us at www.daringcardmakers@hotmail.com, with your name and website if you have one.

Here's the fabulous creations the design team created to inspire you!

I love the cards the design team have produced! I initially thought I couldn't do this challenge as I found the title a bit daunting! However, I've managed to do something, inspired by a piece called L'Escargot by Henri Matisse.

Fantastic interpreatations of the dare from everyone I've checked out so far - great work.

I've finally succumbed and started a blog so my card is my first ever blog entry (http://angelnorth.blogspot.com/2007/04/art-attack.html) if you get chance, drop by and say "Hi" so I don't feel too lonely.

I was thinking about this challenge, and I have a poor inspiration. I think I love the vintage more than all.
