Inspired by You!

Thank you to everyone who had a go at Sharon's 'Shake it Off' dare last week, how fun was it making those shaker cards!
This week it's Leo here and I'm bringing you the final Daring Cardmakers Dare of 2014! We'll be taking a break over the Christmas holidays but will be back on January 9th raring to go with the new dares for 2015.
For this final dare of the year I'd like you to be....
Inspired by You
Go through the cards you've made this year, wherever you upload them to and pick out a card you made to inspire a new one. It could be you use a different colour scheme or re-use the layout or the same embellishment, anything you choose. Have fun!
Here are the design team cards to inspire you. Have a lovely happy holiday time and new year and thank you for joining us in 2014!

December Colour Combo

Hello all and welcome to another weekly dare here at Daring Cardmakers.

Hi it's Dawn here to host my very first challenge and as its the First Friday of the month its colour combination time.

Thank you to everyone who joined in with last weeks challenge to use cotton on your card and hosted by the lovely Jo.

Just a little note that this will be the last colour combination challenge but don't worry because from January our First Friday Challenge will be similar but with a bit of a twist!!

This weeks colour combination dare is  RED and BLUE (any shade)

I really do love seeing red and blue on Christmas cards or as a theme for your Christmas tree.  Something a little non traditional.  Hope this weeks challenge kick starts your creativeness ready for the festive season.

Here is some crafty inspiration from our lovely Design Team.

Something old, something new

Hello lovely cardmakers! And an especially warm welcome to those who joined in with Kathy's candle dare last week.

It is Lythan's turn to think of a challenge and I have gone for one that allows for "seasonal" choices but is also something fun if you have either smugly made all your cards or are still in denial about what happens near the end of December...

Something Old, Something New

Most paper crafters have something in their stash that they have bought but never got round to using. If that isn't you - well done! But you can still play along as the idea of this dare is to combine a new and unused/ fresh out of the packet and only used a little product with something that has been hanging round in your craft space for a while. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with and hope that you feel inspired by the team's wonderful creations too.

As ever, comments as well as links are always appreciated :)

Light a Candle

Hello, another Friday and another challenge from the Daring Cardmakers!
It's Kathy here this time, but before anything else we must say a big Thank You to everyone who joined in with Leo's Colour Combo Challenge last week and shared their lovely cards with us

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared."    ~Buddha

We light a candle for so many reasons - and not just because there's a power cut!
We light them to bring a warm, cosy glow to our home, we use them as part of a celebration; Birthdays, Christmas or other festival. We light them in remembrance of those we have loved and lost.  Somehow that little pinprick of light holds and focusses the attention, doesn't it?
So this week I'd simply like to see some candles on your cards, whether its just one candle or lots of them - and for any reason you want.

Here are some ideas from our fab Design Team to spark your creative flame
