All Wrapped Up!

Hello, Welcome to the last Daring Cardmakers challenge of 2015!
A huge thank you to those who joined in with Lythan's challenge to make a card using a language other than the one you generally use - how interesting was that then?

Now, before we head off for our annual Christmas and New Year break here's  a challenge which will last all the way till our next Daring Date: 8th January 2016.
We thought this one offered the chance for last minute Christmas cards, but also New Year or Winter Birthday cards
All Wrapped Up
So, feel free to think "outside the (gift) box" LOL  though gift boxes, wrapping paper, ribbons and bows are all fine of course....or maybe you'll choose to use mittens, gloves and scarves for wrapping up on a cold day?  How about a pair of big fluffy slippers?
Whatever you decide, please come and share your creations with us - the InLinkz gadget will stay open for you to use all the way till 10am (UK time) on January 8th, when Jo will be here with your January Elemental Inspiration Picture.

We'd like to take this chance to wish you all a
Wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!

Here are some ideas from the team - sorry it looks a bit "thin" at the moment -
hopefully we'll have more to share soon!

Joyeux Noel

Hello, Lythan here today with the new challenge and to say a big Thank You to all who joined in with the December Elemental Inspiration challenge last week.  We loved Dawn's choice of picture and we loved all the lovely cards you made

This week we're going multi-lingual.......
 Joyeux Noel
I'd like you to make a card that features a language that isn't the one you normally use.

Despite the title, it doesn't have to be for Christmas - it can be for another occasion if you like.
Here's what the team have made this week to help inspire you

Something Stencilled

Oh Wow"  What a fabulously talented bunch you are - we've seen so many wonderful non-card projects over this last week, thank you Dawn for such a great challenge!

This week we have a pre-Christmas treat for one of you - a beautiful crafty gift you could win, thanks to our lovely sponsor,
 Bubbly Funk
Recently celebrating 10 whole years selling crafty stash on-line, Bubbly Funk has had a slight change of direction and is now specialising in selling stencils and the paraphernalia that goes alongside.  You'll find a huge range of stencils and masks in many different sizes, plus the inks, paints, sprays, mixed media goodies and the tools you need too.
Caroline, of Bubbly Funk has put together a special prize pack which includes
3 stencils to play with, plus chipboard mini albums and keychains,
 crystal flowers, ink and ribbon

Wouldn't it be good to find that little lot arriving at your door?  All you have to do to be in with a chance of it being yours is to join in with this week's challenge - leave a link to your card and at the end of the week we'll use a Random Picker to select our winner.  We can't make it easier than that, can we?

The Challenge:
Something Stencilled
Just use a stencil in some way on your card. It's not a problem if you don't have any ready made stencils - you could use a die cut, or the die itself, a doily, or anything else that you can paint, ink or trace through.

This week the DT were each sent a stencil of their choice from Bubbly Funk

to use on our cards, so look closely to see all the designs we went for and check our blogs for more info about the ones we used

We're really looking forward to seeing what you make.

Have fun, and Good Luck for the draw

Anything But A Card

Hello everyone and thank you for playing along with last week's challenge.  It was lovely to see all your cuddly creature creations.
It's Dawn here with this week's dare.  Every year my daughter's school has a Christmas Fair and as parents we are always asked to contribute. So this gave me an idea!!
I would like to see
Anything But A Card!
This could be a gift box, a hanging decoration, scrapbook page,
an altered item etc...
Perhaps you'll make something you could sell at a School Fête or a Christmas Fair.
We may be called the Daring Cardmakers, but we don't just make cards, so check out what the Design Team came up with this week.

We're looking forward to seeing your creations.

Cuddly Creatures

Hi everyone!

It's Nat here bringing you this week's challenge.

We hope you enjoyed the elemental inspiration from last week's dare!

This week I'm challenging you to feature some cuddly creatures on your cards and bonus glittery stars if you include hugs in the image or greeting.

There have been some really great stamp releases of late featuring huggable pandas, bunnies and bears, so if you have any of those in your stash waiting to be used, now's your chance!

Your cuddly creatures don't necessarily have to be your regular cute animals, they could be a bit more unusual...

The design team has come up with some fab inspiration!

And as always, we look forward to seeing what you share.

Happy crafting!

Dawn
